08/07/2010 : Beacon Batch event 'BACK THE TRACK' Details for Sunday 18th July.

Beacon Batch event 'BACK THE TRACK' publicity event. North Somerset Athletes will go anywhere to train even the highest point in the area, Beacon Batch. Sunday 18th July.

The plan is for athletes and families to meet at 11am for 11.15 move off, at the cafe/cycle shop near to the bottom of Burrington Coombe on the left as you go up there are three car park areas one just prior to the cycle shop opposite a lane called the link. The second is the pub( The Burrington) car park which is quite big and about 100yards further on just through a cattle grid there is another reasonably sized car park with toilets.

The route to the top will be via the small lane called The Link opposite the first car park which leads to the footpaths to the top.

All being well with good weather we should get to the top within an hour. We will then be completing a relaxed training session and Public Relations event. There will be a club 'BACK THE TRACK' banner and all athletes should where kit. This will be followed by a picnic or retreat as people wish.

This is an important event to focus the clubs activities for the next couple of years and generate public awareness so please make every effort to attend what will be good fun.
