NSAA/AC SPORTS DAY ITINERARY 2010
Incorporating 'BACK THE TRACK' fundraising

Saturday 17th July

Timings for this year's Summer Sports Day, and Fundraiser, as follows;

REGISTRATION AND NUMBERS

The cost for the whole morning is just £3.00 per athlete, payable on the morning. Please ensure you arrive on time to collect your numbers, and pin to front of vest/t-shirt.

SPORTS DAY (PROVISIONAL TIMINGS)

09.15am - 09.45am - Registration

10.00am - 10.15am - Boys 60m/100m Heats (& Finals where relevant) Girls Field Events

10.15am - 10.30am - Girls 60m/100m Heats (& Finals where relevant) Boys Field Events

10.30am - 10.45am - Boys 600m/1000m Girls Field Events

10.45am - 11.00am - Girls 600m/1000m Boys Field Events

11.00am - 11.15am - Boys 300m/400m Girls Field Events

11.15am - 11.30am - Girls 300m/400m Boys Field Events

11.30am - 11.40am - Boys 20m Sprints (Heats & Finals)

11.40am - 11.50am - Girls 20m Sprints (Heats & Finals)

11.50am - 12.00pm - Finals 60m/100m
12.00pm - 12.10pm - Sprint Relays
12.10pm - 12.20pm - Award Presentation
RULES


Athletes can take part in NO MORE than 3 track events, but can take part in all field events. A maximum of 3 attempts are allowed at any field event. (Speed Bounce, Standing Long Jump, Shot Putt, Vortex)

Categories. Athletes are run in 2 year age groups as follows (Years 2-4 boys, Years 2-4 girls, Years 5-6 boys, Years 5-6 girls, Years 7-8 boys, Years 7-8 girls, Years 9-11 boys, Years 9-11 girls).

Primary School Athletes will run the following - 60m, 300m, 600m - Shot Putt will be 2kg, Speed Bounce 20 seconds

Secondary School Athletes will run the following - 100m, 400m, 1000m - Shot Putt will be 3.25kg, Speed Bounce 20 seconds

Athletes will be split into teams on the day, based on where they train. The plan is to make these teams as well-matched as possible for the team event also.

NSAA Lightning Bolts, NSAA Mini-Olympians, NSAC Clevedon, NSAC Nailsea, NSAC Churchill, Portishead RC

All Athletes will score points by competing for their team, the winning team will be presented with a trophy at the Award Presentation

PICNIC

Why not make a day of it and bring a picnic? Assuming the weather is good (!) you can soak up the atmosphere in the morning, and then laugh at the craziness of the afternoon challenge!

'BACK THE TRACK' FUNDRAISER

12.20pm - 2.50pm - 10k any way - Anyone over 16 is welcome to join Chris Millard attempting the whole of the challenge. All Athletes are welcome to get stuck in with any part, although it is recommended that they do not do too much! 10k any way - Provisional Running Order -


0 -1k - Ski Walk

1-2k - 3-Legged Run

2-3k - Wheelbarrow

3-4k - Crawl

4-5k - Backwards Run

5-6k - Sack Race

6-7k - Run

7-8k - Piggy Back

8-9k - Skip

9-10k - Space Hopper

Even if you are unable to attend the fundraiser, please please please raise as much money as possible. It is crucial that, if we are to have our own facility in a couple of years, that we start off with a successful effort by all.

ADDITIONAL

Merchandise will be on sale (startrack, car stickers, club t-shirts and vests etc) as well as a refreshment stall (cakes, tea, squash etc). All funds will be in support of the 'BACK THE TRACK' appeal.
