05/07/2010 : Sophie makes to Street Sprints Finals

The Street Sprints Competition took place last Saturday, at the City Academy in Bristol. The Street sprints is the brain child of top olympic GB Sprinters Linford Christie and Darren Campbell.

Sophie Thomas from the club took part and after cruising through the first 2 rounds she made it into the U13 girls final.

Sophie ran a perfect race which saw her win comfortably. Sophie will now represent the South West at the National Street Athletics final in Manchester on September 11th 2010.

The grand prize being coaching and on going mentoring from Darren and Linford.Good luck soph.
