24/12/2009 : Tewkesbury success for cross country teams.

Many thanks to you all for an excellent turn out at Tewksbury. It was a tough muddy course but the results were once again excellent with three Teams coming 1st and the other two finishing 2nd and 4th. In the under 13 girls we has finishers in 2nd,3rd, 4th and 5th positions.

As well as our accomplished runners performing well it was equally if not more satisfying to see some of our less experienced athletes growing in confidence and raising the bar from their previous outings. We had 4 athletes competing for us for the first time in the XC and they did themselves proud with some gritty running †well done to you all.

Attached is a summary of the current Team & Individual Standings for the Glos XC League, which now shows where you are and what you need to do at Cheltenham in the last event.

The presentations will definitely be worth hanging around for at the end of this final Glos League fixture!

The Avon Schools Championships are next up in early January, but donnâ€t forget the Boxing Day run in Clevedon if you fancy it. If I donnâ€t see you before hope you have a great Christmas.
