In September 2004 a small training group was set up in Clevedon which was attended by just four athletes, managed by two coaches (Chris Millard and Leanne Selman). There was very little equipment, but plenty of enthusiasm and a desire to improve the opportunities for the young people of the area to take part in Track and Field athletics. Within three years this training group has grown significantly and there are now well over 200 children supported by up to 14 coaches. Training sessions now take place in the evenings and weekends at Clevedon, Priory, Churchill and Nailsea.

The club is now formally run by a committee of parents headed by Chairman Chris Millard. All the coaches employed by the club are UK Athletics qualified. During the summer of 2007 the club achieved affiliation status with UK Athletics. The club competes locally in the Avon League.

We would welcome anyone who wishes to get involved in the thrill of athletics whether as a competitor, helper, coach or supporter, please feel free to make contact either via the web site or at a training event.
